Synergy Sessions
You know that providing just a few hours for your team to get out of the weeds and refocus on their goals can save them time, energy and frustration in the long term, but you are also so busy yourself you haven’t got time to develop a meaningful team experience to achieve this purpose. You also don’t want to just “waste time” with a social outing, you really want to invest in your people and help them achieve.
Synergy Sessions are standalone workshops to reinvigorate and focus your team through practical hands-on experiences that build collaboration and a deep sense of purpose. These experiences fit seamlessly into your big picture goals while allowing everyone an opportunity to step back from the busyness to be refreshed, inspired, and reconnect as a team.
Synergy Sessions can be run as a one-off experience for your team, or a module you can incorporate within your company’s broader team or leadership development program. We also use these in our longer-term team packages: Team Traction Accelerator, Team Growth Program, and Team Performance Package.
Each Synergy Session is tailored to suit your team and your organisation’s vision, mission and goals to ensure the time isn’t wasted while at the same time your team are energised, enthused and connected, increasing their effectiveness when they get back to the coal face.
We have three Synergy Session options and will work with you to ensure the session you choose is the best fit for your team and your goals.
LEGO® Serious Play®
LEGO® Serious Play®, or LSP, is a collaborative process developed by the LEGO group for their own business planning and people development purposes. LSP is engaging and fun but at the same time allows a group to deeply explore a concept or challenge in a way that gets beneath the surface and taps into the strengths and experiences of the team to ensure a meaningful outcome is achieved. LSP is not a LEGO® building competition and participants do not need any special skills to successfully participate.
Lego Serious Play generates many “Ah-ha!” moments, where participants say things like “I didn’t even know I knew that!” as their deeper knowledge comes to the fore.
LSP is used by some big-name companies all around the world as a way of engaging their teams in a refreshing, collaborative way.
This workshop can be customised for an enormous range of purposes, including:
- Emerging leaders programs
- Developing team charters with high levels of group engagement and ownership
- Exploring a company’s mission and vision
- Identifying the strengths of various team members and seeing how these strengths work together
- SWOT analysis when exploring new ideas or directions
- Refining marketing messages
And much, much more. It’s difficult to capture just how versatile this methodology is, so we offer a complimentary discovery conversation if you wish to explore this idea further. LSP is a cornerstone of our longer-term Team Traction programs as well.
Helping Hands
Helping Hands is a workshop where small groups work together to make a prosthetic hand which will then be delivered to a person who has lost a hand due to land mines. From a seemingly random collection of bits and pieces, teams persevere through the challenge of creating this life-giving limb, realising that when we are connected to our greater mission and purpose we are able to solve all kinds of challenges.
Water Works
Water works participants create a water filtration device to help a person or family who has been denied fresh water due to a natural disaster. The kit produced by the team is an emergency option, plus for each kit created Water Works donates a longer-term clean water solution as well. Participants practically experience the fulfillment of working together toward a meaningful goal, learning a lot about themselves and the team in the process.
